Ingrid Chavez - May 19, 1992
This album is one of the more bizarre Prince penned efforts of his career. Released around the time of Graffiti Bridge, which Ingrid co-starred in, the album is all spoken word. Some of the so-called songs were used in the film as spiritual interludes. The most recognizable of these was "it's just around the corner," which was used to show a transitional moment in the movie.

Some people really like the new age spoken word sound, with music as a background. However, it is just not to my liking. Ingrid Chavez's lyrics are interesting and reflect the spiritual nature of Prince's music at the time. This is likely why she was signed to Paisley Park records to record May 19, 1992.
