Prince almost used "The Dance Electric" for himself. Instead, he chose to donate it to former The Revolution bassest and childhood friend. Andre, unfortunately, did not have much luck with his solo career. His style was similar to Prince's "Minneapolis Sound," which Andre probably played a part in developing. "The Dance Electric" is a fun electro-synth number that Prince himself played live on an occasion. AC is one of the Prince related recordings not available on compact disk.
