The legendary Earth Wind & Fire performed "Superhero" on their 1993 comeback album Millennium. The song is perfectly suited for the group's style and features lots of horns and background vocals.
Prince later revamped the song somewhat for use by the NPG on the Blankman soundtrack. Their version is somewhat different than Earth Wind & Fire's take in that the NPG's style was present on the cut. There were less background vocals and the song was slightly more dance oriented. Still, the core of the song remained intact. Later, the song was intended for use on the NPG's album Exodus. Although it was never used, the variation included a jam on Billy Preston's "Outta-space" at the end.
