1999

This album was the first in a string of hits for Prince. 1999 is rock solid and full of the best of what Prince had done up until this point and what he would continue to do for years to come. Of course, many of the classics are here: "1999," "Little Red Corvette" and "Delirious." The album was helped by exposure Prince got on the new music video station MTV.
